Why Did Jotaro Go to Morioh? The JoJo Story Connection
Learn why Jotaro Kujo traveled to Morioh and his role in Diamond is Unbreakable. Understand the story connection between Jotaro and the town of Morioh.
Jotaro Kujo's journey to Morioh is one of the pivotal story moments in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. Understanding why he traveled to this small Japanese town helps explain the events of the series and the setting of the Morioh High Roblox game.
Jotaro's Mission
At the start of Diamond is Unbreakable, Jotaro Kujo — the protagonist of Stardust Crusaders — travels to Morioh on a mission from his grandfather, Joseph Joestar. Joseph had discovered that a Stand arrow (the artifact that grants Stand abilities) was involved in a series of mysterious events in the town. Jotaro's task was to investigate and deal with the threat.
The Stand Arrow
The Stand arrows are ancient artifacts that can awaken Stand abilities in those who possess the potential. In Morioh, one of these arrows had been circulating through the town, creating new Stand users — some dangerous, some harmless. Jotaro was sent to find the arrow and neutralize any threats.
Meeting Josuke
Upon arriving in Morioh, Jotaro meets Josuke Higashikata, the protagonist of Diamond is Unbreakable. Josuke is Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son and a natural Stand user with the ability Crazy Diamond, which can restore and heal almost anything. Initially, Jotaro and Josuke have a tense encounter, but they quickly become allies.
Jotaro's Role in Morioh
Jotaro serves as a mentor figure to Josuke throughout the series. While he is a powerful Stand user himself (with Star Platinum), his role in Diamond is Unbreakable is more supportive than leading. He helps Josuke understand his abilities, assists in battles against dangerous Stand users, and works to protect the town of Morioh.
Jotaro and Joseph reside at a high-class hotel during their time in Morioh, using it as their base of operations while investigating Stand-related incidents throughout the town.
Connection to Morioh High
The events of Diamond is Unbreakable take place largely in and around Budogaoka High School, which Josuke attends. The school serves as a meeting point for the main characters and the setting for many key Stand battles. In the Morioh High Roblox game, players experience a school life version of this world, attending the same school and exploring the same town that Jotaro once protected.
